Marilyn Holmes (BSc PT, FCAMT, CAFCI) a Stratford-area native, is a 1983 graduate of the Physical Therapy program at University of Alberta (B.Sc. P.T.). She has worked in various physiotherapy settings in Edmonton, Victoria and Bristol, UK before returning to this area in 1990. Following extensive post-graduate training and study, Marilyn attained her Advanced (Fellowship) Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy (F.C.A.M.T.) in 2001. Marilyn has several years experience providing acupuncture for neuro-musculoskeletal conditions and obtained her certification with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada (C.A.F.C.I.) in 1994. Marilyn continues professional education in the area of manual therapy, exercise therapy, sports medicine, acupuncture (body and ear), pain management and women’s health (physiotherapy treatment of urinary incontinence and lymphedema associated with breast cancer). She is a clinical preceptor and mentor for physiotherapists specializing in orthopaedics. Marilyn enjoys yoga, cycling, snow-pitch, tennis, and skiing.
