
Marilyn Holmes (B.Sc. P.T.; F.C.A.M.T.; C.A.F.C.I.) a Stratford-area native, is a 1983 graduate of the Physical Therapy program at University of Alberta (B.Sc. P.T.). She has worked in various physiotherapy settings in Edmonton, Victoria and Bristol, UK before returning to this area in 1990. Following extensive post-graduate training and study, Marilyn attained her Advanced (Fellowship) Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy (F.C.A.M.T.) in 2001. Susan Wakeley (BScPT, RCAMT, CAFCI) graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1997. Upon graduation, she accepted a position with the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. This large teaching hospital system afforded her the opportunity to learn in a wide variety of hospital-based rehabilitation settings. These included: acute care, in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation departments, neurological and orthopaedic settings for adult and pediatric populations. She completed her certification from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2008 and Level A certification from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy in 2008. more...

Marilyn has several years experience providing acupuncture for neuro-musculoskeletal conditions and obtained her certification with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada (C.A.F.C.I.) in 1994. Marilyn continues professional education in the area of manual therapy, exercise therapy, sports medicine, acupuncture (body and ear), pain management and women’s health (physiotherapy treatment of urinary incontinence and lymphedema associated with breast cancer). She is a clinical preceptor and mentor for physiotherapists specializing in orthopaedics. Marilyn enjoys yoga, cycling, snow-pitch, tennis, and skiing.
Susan continues her education, focusing on orthopaedic and sports injury. She is currently completing coursework for the Advanced Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy and hopes to complete the examinations in 2010. Susan is an avid runner and marathoner.
