Tara Beharry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from McGill University, Montreal. Her interests in complementary health led her to further her education at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC to obtain a diploma as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is initiated to the second degree Reiki in the Usui Tradition and is a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner. Currently, Tara is studying Parama BodyTalk and Medical Intuition and is pursuing many streams of education that contribute to her own evolution as well as that of her clients.
As a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, Tara specializes in energy medicine to facilitate the physical, psychological, and spiritual health and well-being of her clients. Chinese medicine is both an art and a science that draws upon a wealth of knowledge that extends well over 2000 years. When this knowledge is combined with the principles and understanding of modern quantum physics, the result is an energy healing system called BodyTalk, which encourages the bodymind to heal itself. The opportunity to become more conscious and sensitive to self as a living system of energy, as part of and not separate from nature promotes deep and profound healing for many people.
Every physical or emotional trial and tribulation, every trauma we have suffered is recorded by our body and thus affects our experience of life. Blockages in the form of pain, diseases, fatigue, unhappiness, relationship problems or the feeling that ‘something just isn’t right’ are all indications of imbalance. To arrive at a place of healing means that we are open to listening to the wisdom of the body, open to the story that it has to tell. To truly heal means we are ready to return to remembering who we are, why we are here and that we can embrace with gratitude and awareness the amazing journey that is the human experience.
