Marilyn Holmes (BSc. P.T.; F.C.A.M.T.; C.A.F.C.I.), a St. Paul’s area native, is a 1983 graduate of the Physical Therapy program at University of Alberta. She has worked in Edmonton, Victoria and Bristol, UK before returning to this area in 1990. In 2001, Marilyn attained her Advanced (Fellowship) Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. This designation recognizes advanced skills in assessment, treatment and clinical decision-making in orthopaedic physiotherapy. Marilyn has several years experience providing acupuncture for neuromusculoskeletal conditions and obtained her certification with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada in 1994. Marilyn continues with ongoing professional education in the area of manual therapy, sports medicine, acupuncture, and women’s health. She is a clinical preceptor for physiotherapists specializing in orthopaedics. Marilyn continues to play many sports including baseball, volleyball, and tennis.
Susan Wakeley (BSc. P.T.) graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science, Physiotherapy. Throughout her eleven years of clinical practice, she has worked in hospital and private practice settings in the Windsor-Detroit area. These specialty areas include neurological rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, pediatrics and orthopaedics. She has specialized in orthopaedic injuries related to sport, motor vehicle accidents, work injuries and “non-specific” pain. She has completed her Level III manual therapy coursework. Susan recently attained her Intermediate (Residency) Diploma in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy. This designation is recognized by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists (IFOMT). She is also taking pain physiology and acupuncture courses and earlier this year took the Bike Fit course. Her special interests involve weight-training, road cycling, and marathon running.





Our Stratford clinic (located within the Centre at 413 Hibernia St.) has several private assessment and treatment rooms. The spacious gym is well equipped with current conditioning and proprioceptive training equipment, including: pulleys, stationary bikes, Stott Pilates apparatus, treadmill, and hydraulic strengthening equipment.
Our Mitchell clinic (located at 7 Frances St., Mitchell) has two well-equipped treatment rooms, and offers only physiotherapy services. Both facilities are wheel-chair accessible.
Physiotherapy services at the clinic are not covered by OHIP. Payment may be made by: extended health care benefits; automobile insurance plans; Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB); Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA); Employers; Cash, cheque, Interac, VISA, MC. Referrals are welcomed from: physicians and other health professionals; industry management; coaches and trainers; insurance companies; rehabilitation consultants. You are certainly entitled and encouraged to make a specific request to your physician to be referred to our clinic. You may also refer yourself directly to the clinic.
